Dress Trends for Spring '17

Hooray it's already May! I don't know about you, but I feel like Spring flew by. Wasn't it just Christmas? I've been feeling sentimental lately because this year I will be graduating college and officially transitioning into full-on adulting. Well, trying to at least! With graduation events coming up, I have been on the hunt for dresses and spring clothes. After doing a little trend forecast research, here's what I have to share with you!

This season coastal stripes are making a full-force comeback. I'm sure you have already seen this print at Zara and other fast-fashion retailers. A striped dress is a must-have for your summer 2017 wardrobe because it's a modern yet timeless print that can be dressed up with wedges and earrings, or dressed down with sandals. I found this stripe midi dress at ASOS, however you can find this print at several stores - linked below! I loved the print, deep V, and large sleeves on this dress. To style it more casually for everyday wear I paired it with black booties, a leather jacket, and hoop earrings. I will definitely be wearing it this summer with tan heels to dress it up!

Another top trend for spring/summer is the plunge neckline. Bohemian maxi dresses, halter sundresses and plunging tops are populating the racks this season. I love this Free People dress (pictured below) because the lightweight fabric and babydoll style. The dress is romantic and feminine even with the deep V. A plunging neck-line can still be appropriate for events because it will expose the gap between your chest, instead of pushing up cleavage. It's the perfect combination of sexy and cute, as said in the film Crazy Stupid Love... (I need to quote more movies on here because I basically speak in movie quotes). I styled the dress with a denim jacket, hoop earrings, and gold block heels for a slightly fancier look. Since a halter ties around a neck, statement earrings are a fun way to accessorize minimally. You could also try a dainty choker!

Pictured below are looks with a similar neckline, click the image to go to the website!

Hope you guys are able to shop these looks or pull inspiration from how I styled these dresses. Comment below more ideas you'd like to see on my blog! Thanks for reading,
